Renting a yurt
When we started to rent out our Yurts two years ago we couldn't have imagined just how wide a variety of uses to which they would be put. Since then we have rented yurts out for weddings, christenings, birthdays, both leaving and coming home parties, as well as one of the most popular requests as a honeymoon Yurt. There have been Shaman aiding personal growth and understanding in woodland, masseurs practicing and teaching a variety of techniques and rug salesmen selling their wares at festivals. We have supported local groups in bringing awareness to various political and environmental concerns and during the summer we helped organise and house a travelling multi-medium art exhibition.
This year we were also able to add a 21' Yurt that had been specifically built (by one of last year's students from our Yurt making course) as an exhibition space with a high wall and two large entrances. Bearing in mind that these structures look as magnificent indoors as well as outside renting from us will bring something special to any corporate event or trade show.
In 2003 we constructed a 24' Yurt on a raised platform behind our workspace to provide an education space for The Low Carbon Network to use whilst they built England's first Earthship (see link for details). This is now available to rent by the half or full day throughout the year and comes supplied with enough wood to fire its massive stove and keep even the most scantily clad warm on the coldest of days (for the massage courses, naturally).
These prices include do not include the cost of transportation to and from the event nor decoration which can be provided on request.
